The winners of
the 4th Annual Tulip Festival & Mother’s Day Celebration Photo Contest,
hosted by Honor’s Haven Resort & Spa, have been selected. This year’s contest received a total of
fifteen entries; all of which captured the true essence of the day’s events.
Judging was
based on the ability to capture and highlight the spirit of Mother’s Day, Spring
Time and the Festival, which took place on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Honor’s
Haven Resort & Spa. Both resort
staff and Facebook fans voted on all of the entries, bringing us to our top
five selections; winners and honorable mentions combined.
Michele Atkins of Hurley, NY received First Place honors with
her image “2014 Tulip Festival”. Second
Place was awarded to Christine Schukow
of Ellenville, NY with “Tulips in the Sun” and Third Place to Sandra Vine of Loch Sheldrake, NY with
“Spring Promise”.
Janine Vine of Smallwood, NY received an honorable mention with
her entry of “All Their Glory” as did Heather
Whamond of East Hartford, CT with her untitled photo.

This year’s First
and Second Place winners were awarded with gift certificates valid for a
weekend stay for two at Honor’s Haven Resort & Spa; second place in
Executive Accommodations and first place in Suite Accommodations! Third Place was awarded with a souvenir from
the Resort’s gift shop!
Ms. Atkins’
first place entry will also be showcased on the Resort’s website for the
remainder of the year.
We would like
