It may only be March, but with the milder Spring weather slowly creeping in,
bands and music fans alike are gearing up for a great day of live music at the
Tulip Festival & Mother’s Day Celebration scheduled for Sunday, May 12th
at Honor’s Haven Resort & Spa in Ellenville, NY.
According to the resort’s Marketing Coordinator, Wendy Lupinski-Beck, “Each
year the lineup gets bigger and more impressive and this year is no exception.”
Musical acts for the 2013 festival include:
ZERENA LUPO
A country/pop
singer, songwriter, and acoustic guitar player from Westchester County, this
13-year old young lady will delight with her original style and unique
compositions. Her story-telling melodies, delivered with a smooth,
heartfelt tone will remind you of Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Celine Dion, and
Brad Paisley. Having performed at NY City’s Symphony Space and The Apollo
Theater, as well as opened for Bernie Williams at the White Plains Performing
Arts Center, this artist was awarded both Best Original Song and Original Song
Performance for the 14 and under category at The Hard Rock Café, Boston – 2012.
This recording artist’s performance is one to watch!!
BLUE SOUL
Blue Soul, a band of four kids from Jersey inspired by music that outdates
their years, meshes together blues, rock, funk, and soul music into both
riveting live performances and captivating studio recordings. Consisting
of James Hatem (guitar/lead vocals), Jamie Engels (keyboards, drums, vocals), and
Jeremy Berkin (drums, percussion, vocals) Blue Soul is a group of talented,
young musicians with a chemistry that cannot be learned in school. This
band’s addictive energy and stage presence capture their audiences, enchanting
them with soulful lyrics, energetic jam sessions, and clever improvisations
EMMA FERONY
Emma Brooke
Ferony is a 17 year old pop country artist from West Milford, New Jersey. She
grew up listening to the extremely odd combination of Dolly Parton and Britney
Spears. Emma takes regular country songs and makes them her own by spicing
them up with a few R&B style riffs. Don't miss this performance!
CIARA MARTINEZ
Ciara Martinez
is a singer/songwriter from Orange County. Inspired by the talents of both
Christina Aguilera and Taylor Swift, Ciara sings from the heart and writes what
she knows. She always has fun on stage and is sure to give you a performance
that will lighten your mood and brighten your day.
MOE & TOM
Singer
songwriters Audrey Weatherstone and Shayne O’Neill are a musical duo of
acoustic instruments and sweet melodies in vocal harmony. Residing in Warwick,
New York, the girls continue to write and produce their original folk based
music.
AMMO WITHOUT A
GUN
Ammo Without A
Gun, an Orange County based band offers a raw and heartfelt sound. Consisting
of lead singer/ acoustic guitar player Jeremy Torres, bassist Andy Mendez,
drummer Jesse Dunitz and guitarist Anthony Lorino, this group churns out a
cohesive blend of rock, blues, Latin and reggae. Ammo without A Gun’s
music, like life, is filled with different sounds and emotions; which can be
heard on their two already released CD’s “Ammo Without A Gun” and “No
Restraint”. Capturing a sound that is very much their own, this band’s
high-energy performance makes it impossible not to love them.
BETTER LATE THAN
NEVER
Formed in March
2011, Better Late Than Never is an alternative rock band from the Newburgh/New
Winsor area of Orange County. Consisting of vocalist/drummer Sal Fratto,
vocalist/guitarist Dorian Miele and bass player Angel Salcedo, this trio of 7th &
8th graders has exploded onto the music scene with an exciting
blend of pop-punk and classic rock. Routinely found performing at
charitable events like Relay for Life, this group of young men provides an
electrifying performance that shouldn’t be missed!
Admission to the festival is absolutely FREE so bring a blanket, kick back
and make a day of it!
Additional festivities to be enjoyed throughout the day include an
extraordinary collection of vendors offering distinctive handcrafted gifts, an
amazing Mother’s Day Lunch Buffet, aura readings, wellness demonstration and a
spectacular display of over 1,000 tulips adorning the resort’s manicured
property.
